Chasefu recently held a significant event with the flagging off of 290 bicycles for community health workers (CHWs) and handed over a Constituency Development Fund (CDF) ambulance. The ceremony was attended by Hon. Mischeck Nyambose member of parliament, District Commissioner Jimmy Phiri, Council Chairperson Chimwemwe Banda , and Director of Health Services, along with all 290 CHWs
Bicycle Distribution is aimed to enhance the mobility of CHWs, enabling them to effectively serve their communities and reach remote areas with the new ambulance significantly improving emergency medical response in Chasefu District, ensuring timely medical care and transportation. Community Health Workers play a vital role in bridging the gap between healthcare systems and communities, providing essential health services, education, and support.
