Chasefu Town Council has successfully undertaken a comprehensive Integrated Development Plan (IDP) formulation process for its 10 wards in the district.
As part of the IDP formulation process, community leaders play a vital role in consultations with diverse groups, including women, youths, men, government officials, and business owners. The meeting gathered valuable submissions on developmental needs at the zone, ward, and district levels.
The Chasefu Joint IDP (2020-2030) encompasses Chasefu, Lundazi, and Lumezi, with a planned review and update in 2025. As the council prepares to separate and develop its own standalone IDP, active participation in the 2025 review process is crucial to ensure the new plan accurately reflects Chasefu district’s development priorities.
During the review process the environmental health inspector Brian Munthali sensitized the community on burial permits and marriage certificates.
The Integrated Development Plan (IDP) serves as a roadmap for our district’s development, guiding local leaders in decision-making to improve communities.
